Class series with basic background info on each topic, plus hands-on plant-based activity for each class (except first).  Class fees are on a sliding scale - participants pay what they can afford.  Pre-payment required for each class.  Click on the "Donate" button below to pre-pay.  Suggested donation (to offset materials cost) $5-$10.  Registration opens January 18th for the first class, registration for each subsequent class opens the night of the previous month's class (example:  registration for Tremendous Trees opens after the first Indoor Greenspace class ends, March 17th at 7pm).  In-Person classes are held at the Orleans County Cornell Cooperative Extension Trolley Building at 12690 State Rt 31, Albion, NY 14411.  Register by calling 585-798-4265 or emailing klo54@cornell.edu.  *Note: if you do not receive an email confirmation with the details of your registration and PayPal Donate link, you are not registered for the class.

Horticulture Therapy Overview: Feb 24th, 6pm, Zoom.  Learn all about horticulture as therapy from Gerry Sherman, a certified Horticulture Therapist and Garden Program Coordinator at Kingsbridge Heights Community Center in the Bronx.

Indoor Greenspace:  Using houseplants to green your indoor space, project:  pot your own houseplant, Mar 17 In-person/ Mar 18, Zoom, 6pm

Tremendous Trees:  Basic tree ID and tree facts, project: plant your own tree, April 21 In-person/ April 22 Zoom, 6pm

Ready Set Grow: Basics on veggie gardening and seed starting, project: start your own seeds,  May 19 6pm

Zen Garden: Lesson on air plants and other epiphytes, project: make your own mini Zen Garden, June16 6pm

Herbs for Health and Well-being: Learning about various herbs, project: make your own tea/sachet,  July 21,  6pm

From Root to Fruit: Botanical lesson on fruits and veggies, project: simple recipes with fresh produce, August 18, 6pm

The Goodness of Garlic:  How to grow and use garlic, project: garlic to plant, Sept 15, 6pm

Changing Seasons: Plants through the seasons, project: fall leaf mandala, Oct 20, 6pm
