Holiday Faire is Orleans County 4-H’s winter time event to showcase projects with a holiday theme. Holiday
Faire is open to the public from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm on the first Saturday in December in the Trolley Building at the Orleans County 4-H
Fairgrounds. 4-H'ers will host crafts and activities for youth
of all ages for under $5! There will also be a kitchen with plenty of
snacks and lunch available. All proceeds will go toward 4-H Family &
Consumer Science programming.

What do people do there?

Teens Assist judges and help display exhibits on Saturday, 9
am – noon. Please contact the office the day beforehand to tell them you
are helping.

Have a club table 1:00–3:30 pm. Set up begins at 12 Noon,
no earlier due to judging. Reserve your space by November 28 by
contacting the office at 585-798-4265 or orleans4h@cornell.edu.

Encourage club members to perform as individuals or groups during
Holiday Faire (singing, piano, harp, guitar, etc.). If you are
performing, contact the office by November 28 to schedule a time.
What exhibits can I enter?
Entries are typically holiday themed. There are 11 Holiday Faire classes
and you may enter two projects in each class. The classes are as
follows:

Class 4: Door Decoration

Class 5: Wall Hanging

Class 6: Toy

Class 7: Tree Ornament

Class 8: Gift Wrapped Package

Class 10: Fresh Cut Greens Class 11: Miscellaneous
How do I enter exhibits?
- Complete an entry card for each exhibit (Cloverbuds may only enter up to 5 exhibits).

Exhibits are accepted Mon. – Fri. of the week before the event, 8:30 am – 4:30
pm at the Education Center. Call the office if an evening drop off is needed.
- Exhibits can be left at the fairgrounds after Holiday Workshop.

Pick up your exhibits at the end of Holiday Faire. Exhibits will be released at 3:30 pm the day of the event.
Where can I get entry cards?

Tags can be picked up from the 4-H office or from you club leader.
Cloverbud tags only require name and age and can be written on a 3 x 5
card or cardstock square.

How do I fill out my entry cards? Fill out your name, age, years in
4-H, and the class number (1-11) and name for each exhibit. Complete the
Statement. Attach the exhibit card securely to your exhibit. Judges may
lower the entry one placing if the entry card is not attached or if the
statement is missing. Blue (Excellent), Red (Good), and White (Worthy)
ribbons will be awarded.
